Каждый раз, услышав исполнение песни «И вновь продолжается бой…» (на слова Николая Добронравова и замечательную, как всегда, музыку Александры Пахмутовой), у меня мелькала мысль: что за бессмысленный набор слов под бодрую запоминающуюся мелодию… И почему Ленин – молодой, а Октябрь – юный? Эта песня ассоциируется у моего поколения с Днем Октябрьской революции…
Большинство активного населения России в наше время думать не думает о некоторых общегосударственных праздниках, вновь введенных в последние годы…
Возможно, если бы государство «подогревало» интерес к содержанию этих праздников большим количеством различных мероприятий в течение года, вовлекало бы в подготовку их празднования много людей, в том числе, очень желательно, чтобы и молодых людей, то что-нибудь бы получилось. А пока – ничего…
И ведь вроде бы такая хорошая задумка: заменить выходной день, приходящийся на День Октябрьской революции, на другой выходной день рядышком – 4 ноября – День народного единства.
В 1649 году указом царя Алексея Михайловича было установлено обязательное празднование 4 ноября как дня благодарности Пресвятой Богородице за ее помощь в освобождении России от поляков. Праздник отмечали в России вплоть до Революции 1917 года. 4 ноября 2005 года этот праздник отметили первый раз после многодесятилетнего перерыва. Идея ввода нового праздника была предложена еще в сентябре 2004 года Межрелигиозным советом России, и эта идея была единогласно поддержана думским комитетом по труду и социальной политике. Да и Патриархом Алексием эта идея была тоже публично поддержана:
А не схватывается почему-то… Видимо, просто продекларировать праздник совершенно недостаточно.
В нашем окружении даже не все знают – о чем, вообще, этот праздник. А уж о его отмечании и речи не идет.
Все просто ждут на 4 ноября «заслуженного» выходного дня – вот это праздник!
День Октябрьской революции на излете Советской власти тоже перестал быть для народа праздником. Но все тогда еще знали суть этого праздника – что отмечаем, зачем это делаем, почему нужно радоваться и за что поднимать тосты. Хотя уже давно этого не делали.
Тем более, сейчас, с размытой идеологией и системой ценностей, даже эхо этого дня не отдалось у меня в душе.
Каково же было мое удивление, когда в социальных сетях на 7 ноября я увидела кучу трогательных и ностальгических роликов про давнишние празднования этого события, перевернувшего на 70 лет жизнь всей страны.
И вот подумалось мне, коли народ в это время всё равно требует праздника, то неплохо было бы отмечать, например, народный праздник – Дедовы плачи.
Традиции: воспоминание умерших родственников или друзей, ритуальные плачи
В старину считалось, что в данный день рыдает сама природа, а значит, это должны делать и люди. Природа плачет снегом или дождем, а человек – горькими слезами. В этот день – 7 ноября – необходимо помянуть всех умерших родных, а ритуальный плач должен огласить всю округу. В это время на Руси плакали вместе с природой. Называли эти плачи дедовскими, так как вспоминали о предках, которых уже нет рядом.
Крестьяне посещали кладбища и наводили на могилах порядок. На погосте в этот праздник не поминали. Еду было принято раздавать малоимущим. Вечером же собирались вместе с родными за ужином и вспоминали истории из жизни умерших. В церквях в этот день ставили свечи.
Также обязательно нужно было помогать обездоленным, а особенно сиротам. На Руси понимали, какая непростая у них судьба. Заботу о таких детях брала на себя деревенская община. Большим грехом у православных считается обман сироты.
Торговцам в этот день запрещалось есть хлеб и переезжать на другое место, иначе можно было прогневить бога и навлечь на себя беду.
Приметы Подмечено, что в этот день зачастую идет дождь или снег. Если в этот праздник стоит сухая погода, то зима будет морозной и с метелями. Если листья во время осинового листопада упали вверх лицом, то зима будет морозной, а если наоборот, то теплой. Согласно поверью, если порыдать в подушку, то слезы перейдут в пух и к тому человеку, который ляжет на нее отдохнуть. Если же он уснет на ней, то ему приснятся дурные и беспокойные сны.
Такой праздник, взывающий к простым человеческим чувствам, не политизированный и проникнутый почитанием своих предков, мог бы стать НАСТОЯЩИМ праздником, который чтят и ритуалы которого исполняют.
Но нет!
Тоже, к своему удивлению, узнала, что оказывается 7 ноября в России теперь «отмечается» День согласия и перемирия.
Что выясняется-то! Вот что значит не интересоваться российским телевидением…
Праздник пришел на смену Дню Октябрьской революции в 2005 году. Распад СССР поставил точку в праздновании свершения революции, после которой на несколько десятилетий установилась власть советов. В советские времена 7 ноября был красным днем календаря,
а сейчас это просто памятная дата, установленная в честь событий, которые сыграли важную роль в истории страны.
Моя дочка-десятиклассница делает проект по истории. И ее, больше всего как раз интересует история ХХ века и революционного периода, в частности. И ничто у нее в душе не отдается при упоминании 7 ноября – и это замечательно!
Действительно. Это стало историей, которую можно рассматривать с разных сторон, изучать, исследовать, не испытывая личных эмоций. Дожили и до этого…
Смешно, но именно в этот день в мировой истории произошел еще один переворот, правда, бескровный. Важный государственный праздник отмечают в Тунисе 7 ноября. Он носит название День новой эры или День обновления. В этот день в 1987 году произошел политический переворот, в результате которого со своего поста был смещен Хабиб Бургиба, считавшийся отцом нации. Он должен был до конца своей жизни занимать пост главы государства, на котором он находился с 1957 года.

And after all, it seems to be such a good idea: to replace the day off on the Day of the October Revolution with another day off next to it — November 4 — Day of National Unity.

The holiday was celebrated in Russia until the 1917 Revolution. November 4, 2005 this holiday was celebrated for the first time. The idea of introducing a new holiday was proposed back in September 2004 by the Interreligious Council of Russia, and this idea was unanimously supported by the Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy. Yes, and Patriarch Alexy, this idea was also publicly supported: “This day reminds us how in 1612, Russians of different faiths and nationalities overcame the division, overcame a formidable foe and led the country to a stable civil peace,” Patriarch Alexy said.

In our environment, not everyone even knows what this holiday is about. And there is no question of his celebrating.
Everyone is just waiting on November 4 for a “well-deserved” day off — this is a holiday!
The day of the October Revolution at the end of Soviet power also ceased to be a holiday for the people. But then everyone still knew the essence of this holiday — that we are celebrating, why we are doing this, why we need to rejoice and why toast toasts. Although they have not done this for a long time.
Moreover, now, with a vague ideology and system of values, even the echo of this day did not sound in my soul.
Imagine my surprise when on social networks on November 7 I saw a bunch of touching and nostalgic videos about the long-standing celebration of this event, which turned the life of the whole country for 70 years.
And so I thought, if the people at this time still required a holiday, it would be nice to celebrate, for example, a national holiday — Grandfather’s Cries.
Traditions: remembrance of deceased relatives or friends, ritual cries
In the old days, it was believed that on this day nature itself is sobbing, which means that people should do it. Nature cries with snow or rain, and man weeps with bitter tears. On this day — November 7th — it is necessary to remember all the deceased relatives, and the ritual cry should announce the whole district. At this time, Russia cried along with nature. They called these cries grandfather, because they remembered the ancestors who were no longer nearby.
Peasants visited cemeteries and put things in order on the graves. On a graveyard this holiday was not remembered. It was customary to distribute food to the poor. In the evening, they gathered together with relatives at dinner and recalled stories from the life of the dead. In the churches on this day they put candles.
On this day, it was necessary to help the destitute, as well as orphans. In Russia they understood what a difficult fate they had. The village community took care of these children. A great sin among the Orthodox is considered a deception of an orphan.
On this day, merchants were forbidden to eat bread and move to another place, otherwise it would be possible to anger God and incur trouble.
Signs It is noted that on this day it often rains or snows. If the weather is dry on this holiday, then the winter will be frosty and with snowstorms. If the leaves fell face up during aspen leaf fall, then the winter will be frosty, and if on the contrary, it will be warm. If he falls asleep on her, then he will have bad and restless dreams.
Such a holiday, appealing to simple human feelings, not politicized and imbued with reverence for its ancestors, could become a REAL holiday, which is honored and performed by its rituals.
But no!
Also, to her surprise, she found out that on November 7, Russia is now «celebrating» the Day of Accord and Armistice.
What it turns out! That’s what it means to not be interested in Russian television …
The holiday replaced the October Revolution Day in 2005. The collapse of the USSR put an end to the celebration of the revolution, after which the power of the Soviets was established for several decades. In Soviet times, November 7 was the red day of the calendar, but now it’s just a memorable date, set in honor of events that played an important role in the history of the country.
My 10th grade daughter is doing a history project. And she, just the most interested in the history of the twentieth century and the revolutionary period, in particular. And nothing in her soul is given at the mention of November 7th — and this is wonderful!
Indeed, this has become a story that can be viewed from different angles, studied, explored without experiencing personal emotions. We survived before that …
It is ridiculous, but it was on this day in world history that another coup d'etat took place, though bloodless. An important public holiday is celebrated in Tunisia on November 7.
