Зачем людям история о молодом певце, умершем от передозировки наркотиков?
Дочка привела нас с мужем на премьеру документального фильма «Lil Peep: Всё для всех». Полный зал очень молодых людей, пришедших посмотреть на фильм о жизни и смерти рэпера Лил Пипа, который в самые короткие сроки стал известен во всем мире среди молодого поколения, интересующегося этим музыкальным жанром.
Молодая девушка, вышедшая на сцену перед показом, акцентировала внимание, что будет приветствоваться, если зрители захотят подпевать певцу – не в силах удержаться от этого… На лицах юной публики предвкушение аналога посмертного концерта певца…
…И какой контраст с моментом, когда свет включился после окончания сеанса! Серьезные и подавленные выражения лиц, куртки на полу, тихие голоса, рассыпанная кукуруза… Концерта не получилось.
Девушка, выступающая перед фильмом, картины не видела – там нечему подпевать, так как нет музыки и песен. Это хроника жизни Лил Пипа и интервью о нем. Причем, хроника, начиная с его самого маленького возраста, в кругу семьи – с мамой, папой, братом, дедушкой.
Трогательные кадры счастливого детства Гаса – Густава Ара (настоящее имя певца)… которые неудержимо провоцируют спросить: «Почему же дальше всё пошло не так?..»
Сложный переходный возраст. А у кого он простой?
Отсутствие настоящих школьных друзей, неприятие учителей…
Расставание родителей… по статистике количество разводов в мире продолжает расти.
Странный дедушка, историк, страстный социалист, у которого в комнате портрет Ленина в полный рост – самый известный с красным бантиком на черном пиджаке, а в кухне другой портрет Владимира Ильича в знакомой нам с детства позе…
И далее так и не успевший закончиться этот сложный переходный возраст Гаса …
По смонтированным кадрам интервью получается, что это был добрейший, наищедрейщий молодой человек, так жаждущий, чтобы его любили, так мечтающий о простом устройстве мира, где белое будет белым, а черное – черным…
Совсем юный человек, который не мог «переварить» сложностей реальной жизни, не смог свыкнуться с тем, что мир – это не коммуна, не милая картинка «всё для всех», не бескорыстная тусовка приятелей, не красивая обложка комикса…
Он и пел об этом, возмущаясь несправедливым и непростым устройством мира. Тем устройством, к которому либо приходится приспособиться человеку, либо…
Видимо, Лил Пип не смог приспособиться.
В его творчестве подростков привлекала искренность, с которой он говорил об этом. Боль от этого, о которой он откровенно, пронзительно и отчаянно говорил.
В душу российского зрителя безусловно внесут смятение беспокойные съемки тура Лил Пипа в нашу страну, где певец носит бейсболку на ушанку, пьет водку и болтает с неловко говорящими на английском русскими фанатами, — эти кадры едва ли не самые волнительные в фильме.
Как и голос дедушки Гаса, который читает за кадром письма, написанные им внуку при его жизни: наставительные, поясняющие, проникновенные, любящие… В них сквозит безусловная приязнь, тревога за судьбу, желание подсказать и объяснить, понимание того, что у внука собственная судьба.
Было временами мучительно смотреть этот фильм про способного и одинокого парня, которому невозможно было помочь. Все близкие, друзья, агенты певца пытаются так или иначе оправдаться в картине тем, что они прилагали все усилия, чтобы уберечь Гаса от такого конца, но он к ним не прислушивался. И это неприятно видеть и слышать. Всегда закрадывается червячок сомнения, которого на самом деле, скорее всего, нет.
Понятно желание родных Лил Пипа представить своего мальчика самым, самым, самым… Оно уравновешивается в картине простотой показа неприглядной стороны образа жизни юного музыканта: прямо и без стеснения смонтированы кадры о снятии постоянного стресса замученного неуемной концертной деятельностью певца за счет употребления алкоголя и наркотиков.
Вот так несложно и практически по собственной воле молодой человек уходит из жизни…
Только потому, что жизнь сложнее, чем хотелось бы, что непонятно, что же с ней дальше делать, что проще думать об окружающих людях только то, что лежит на поверхности, а во главу причин поступков ставить исключительно законы братства сомнительных «друзей», что проще потеряться в социуме, чем, наконец, начать взрослеть…
А никто и не обещал, что будет легко.
Может быть, нам помогут что-то понять наши грусть и возмущение тем, что жизни могут заканчиваться так просто и быстро, так глупо и небрежно, а мир при этом не замирает на месте…

Why do people need a story about a young singer who died from an overdose of drugs?
My daughter and I brought my husband to the premiere of the documentary “Lil Peep: Everybody’s Everything”. The full hall of very young people who came to watch a film about the life and death of rapper Lil Peep, who became known around the world in the shortest possible time.
The young girl, who appeared on the stage before the show, emphasized that she would be welcomed if the audience wanted to sing along to the singer — unable to resist this … On the faces of the young public, the anticipation of the analogue of the singer’s posthumous concert …
… And what a contrast with the moment when the light turned on after the end of the session! Serious and depressed facial expressions, jackets on the floor, quiet voices, sprinkled corn … The concert did not work.
The girl speaking before the film did not see the picture — there is nothing to sing along with, as there is no music and songs. This is a chronicle of Lil Peep’s life and an interview about him. Moreover, the chronicle, starting with his youngest age, in the family circle — with mom, dad, brother, grandfather. Touching shots of Gus’s happy childhood — Gustav Ara (real name of the singer) … which uncontrollably provoke to ask: “Why then everything went wrong? ..”
Difficult transitional age. And who is he simple?
The lack of real school friends, the rejection of teachers …
Separation of parents … according to statistics, the number of divorces in the world continues to grow.
A strange grandfather, historian, passionate socialist who has a full-length portrait of Lenin in the room — the most famous one with a red bow on a black jacket, and in the kitchen another portrait of Vladimir Ilyich in a pose familiar to us from childhood …
And then this complex transitional age of Gus, who didn’t have time to end, continued …
According to the mounted frames of the interview, it turns out that he was the kindest, most genuinely young man, so thirsty to be loved, so dreaming of a simple structure of the world, where white is white and black is black …
A very young man who could not «digest» the difficulties of real life, could not get used to the fact that the world is not a commune, not a pretty picture » everybody’s everything «, not a disinterested party of friends, not a beautiful cover of a comic book …
He sang about it, indignant at the unjust and difficult structure of the world. The device to which either a person has to adapt, or …
Apparently, Lil Peep was unable to adapt.
In his work, adolescents were attracted by the sincerity with which he spoke about this. The pain of this, about which he frankly, piercingly and desperately spoke.
The restless filming of Lil Peep tour to our country, where the singer wears a baseball cap with earflaps, drinks vodka and chatters with awkward English-speaking Russian fans, will certainly bring confusion to the Russian audience — these shots are almost the most exciting in the film.
Like the voice of grandfather Gus, who reads off-screen letters written to him by his grandson during his lifetime: instructive, explanatory, soulful, loving … They convey an unconditional affection, anxiety for fate, a desire to prompt and explain, understanding that the grandson has his own fate.
It was sometimes painful to watch this film about a capable and lonely guy who could not be helped. All relatives, friends, agents of the singer are trying in one way or another to justify themselves in the picture by the fact that they made every effort to protect Gus from this end, but he did not listen to them. And it is unpleasant to see and hear. A worm of doubt always creeps in, which in fact, most likely, is not there.
The desire of relatives of Lil Peep to introduce his boy the most, the most, the most understandable … It is balanced in the picture by the simplicity of showing the unsightly side of the young musician’s lifestyle: shots were shot directly and without embarrassment about relieving the constant stress of the singer tortured by the indefatigable concert activity due to the use of alcohol and drugs.
So, it’s so simple and almost of his own free will that a young man passes away …
Just because life is more complicated than we would like, that it’s not clear what to do with it, that it’s easier to think about people around you only on the surface, and put the laws of the brotherhood of dubious “friends” at the forefront of the actions that it’s easier to get lost in society than to finally start to grow up …
And no one promised that it would be easy.
Maybe our sadness and indignation will help us to understand something that lives can end so simply and quickly, so stupidly and carelessly, while the world does not freeze in place …
