Случайным образом одним сентябрьским вечером – очень теплым и солнечным – сошлось вместе несколько составляющих, так нужных нам для вдохновения и созерцания прекрасного.
Свобода восприятия, отсутствие суеты, посещение места, где давно не бывал, комфортность окружающей среды и вдруг приоткрывшееся окно возможностей, позволяющее впечатляться красотой…
Этого оказалось достаточно, чтобы изумиться прелести и изысканности домов, мимо которых идешь, очаровательному цветочному оформлению улиц, уютности открытых веранд кафе, «милоте» витрин, балкончикам с сидящими в креслах людьми, острым и несообразным углам относительно современного конструктивизма, каким-то образом породненного с плавностью модерна…
К сожалению, а, может быть, к счастью, нельзя сказать, что все дома в переулках вокруг Сретенки сохранились или хотя бы сохранили свой прежний облик. Но некоторые дома остались, а вновь построенные явно старались быть вписанными в существующий контекст, не навязывая старине свои прямоперпендикулярные скучные формы и не задавливая их своей высокоэтажностью.
Это один из видов сохранения дорогой нашим сердцам пленительности былого, но при этом создающей впечатление актуальности и современности комплекса застройки в целом.
Если бы вся Москва была подвергнута такому бережному обновлению, то мы бы не заметили диссонанса эклектики и наш придирчивый взгляд не страдал бы от дисгармонии несочетаемого.
В этой публикации я не буду рассказывать длинных историй про дома, смотрящие на нас с фотографий.
Наслаждайтесь схваченными мною за хвост образами – пусть дома говорят сами за себя.
Помните – на улице очень тепло, но не жарко, очень светло – до блеклости оттенков, но не бесцветно, очень ясно – до белоты неба, но нескучно, дивно и по-иному, чем обычно.

One September evening, by chance – very warm and sunny – several components came together that we need so much for inspiration and contemplation of beauty.
Freedom of perception, absence of fuss, visiting a place where you haven’t been for a long time, comfortable surroundings and suddenly a window of opportunity to be impressed by beauty that has opened…
This was enough to admire the charm and sophistication of the houses floating past us, the charming flower decoration of the streets, the coziness of the open verandas of cafes, the «cuteness» of shop windows, balconies with people sitting on chairs, sharp and incongruous angles of relatively modern constructivism, somehow related to the smoothness of Art Nouveau…
Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, it cannot be said that all the houses in the alleys around Sretenka have survived or at least retained their former appearance. But some houses remained, and the newly built ones clearly tried to fit into the existing context, without imposing their boring perpendicular forms on the old days and without crushing them with their high-rise buildings.
This is one of the ways of preserving the charm of the past, dear to our hearts, but at the same time creating the impression of relevance and modernity of the development complex as a whole.
If all of Moscow were subjected to such careful renovation, we would not notice the dissonance of eclecticism and our picky gaze would not suffer from the disharmony of the incompatible.
In this publication, I will not tell long stories about the houses looking at us from the photographs.
Enjoy the images I grabbed by the tail — let the houses speak for themselves.
Remember — it is very warm outside, but not hot, very light — to the point of fading shades, but not colorless, very clear — to the whiteness of the sky, but not boring, marvelous and very different from the usual.
