В первый раз на практике я столкнулась с понятием «миссия» довольно давно, около 25 лет назад, когда работала в корпорации «Галактика». Руководство тогда там было молодое, креативное – решило сформулировать миссию своей организации. Я не была непосредственным участником процесса, но отчасти была погружена в осмысление того, что наиболее полно и адекватно отражало бы место и роль нашей организации в этом мире. Признаюсь – было интересно обдумывать формулировку, вникая в смысл полученного утверждения.
До сих пор на просторах интернета можно найти ту самую миссию, возможно, и претерпевшую некоторые изменения, но не являющиеся существенными:
Мы разрабатываем и поставляем лучшие управленческие и информационные технологии для динамичного развития бизнеса предприятий и эффективного функционирования организаций, обеспечения продуктивной и комфортной работы их руководителей и сотрудников
Каждое слово в этой фразе бесконечно много раз обсуждалось, чтобы, наконец, осознать – тот ли смысл заложен в эти слова, который хотелось бы донести в мир руководству компании.
В тот момент я впервые задумалась о миссии человека. Это вопрос не оставлял меня равнодушной и все последующие годы.
Примерно лет 5 назад опять что-то спровоцировало активное обсуждение миссии человека, и мы с близкими горячо дискутировали по этому вопросу. Мой отец не понимал – зачем же говорить именно о миссии, так как в его понимании это то же самое, что и цель жизни. Я интуитивно чувствовала, что это разные понятия, но внятно объяснить это и дать определении миссии не смогла. При этом тема не отпускала меня – иной раз мысленно я возвращалась к обдумыванию своей миссии на земле.
В то время я сформулировала для себя миссию так: «Несу в мир добро». Но с течением времени я стала сомневаться в правильности образа, создаваемого такой формулировкой миссии, и захотела найти более подходящую редакцию. Это оказалось не так просто – потребовалось более глубоко разобраться в этой теме.
Я изучила имеющиеся в свободном доступе материалы о миссии человека и составила свое представление о том, что такое миссия, чем она отличается от цели жизни, миссии каких сущностей бывают, как на коллективные миссии влияют миссии членов этих коллективов и об обратном влиянии их друг на друга.
Миссия – это духовная сущность, это качества человечности, которые человек должен оставить после себя на земле; которые человеку необходимо раскрыть в самом себе с целью эволюции души и всеобщего сознания.
В христианстве эти качества вполне четко определены и называются добродетелями, но они описаны и в другой духовной литературе. Эти добродетели в той или иной мере знакомы всем людям, например: благодарность, благородство, благость, бескорыстие, бережливость, вера, вежливость, верность, воздержание, доброжелательность, доброта, дружба, заботливость, любовь, милосердие, мудрость, мужество, осторожность, приветливость, простота, смирение, сотрудничество, сострадание, стыдливость, тактичность, терпение, честность, человеколюбие и другие лучшие качества человечности. В большинстве случаев эти качества человечности проявляются в нашем мире материально – в наших делах и поступках.
Несмотря на то, что всякий человек изначально имеет свою неповторимую миссию, далеко не каждый, рождаясь на свет, её осознает. У кого-то миссия может быть большой, у кого-то совсем маленькой. Это зависит от того, что человек сможет сделать в своей жизни. Но самое главное, что все миссии одинаково важны, нет более или менее значимой миссии.
Поучительно в этом контексте мнение Иоанна Кронштадтского, он пишет: «Господь знает каждого из нас прежде, нежели мы зачаты во чреве матери и прежде, нежели вышли из утробы матери… Мы определены Творцом каждый на свое место служения». Ведь дух делает материальное на земле жизненным, вселяет в материю смысл и отводит каждой сущности свою неповторимую часть.
Смысл существования человека заключается в постановке и достижении определенных целей в разнообразных видах деятельности согласно своей миссии.
Жизненная цель – это осознанный образ предвосхищаемого результата, на достижение которого направлена деятельность человека; это направление по приложению усилий в действиях и поступках.
Отсутствие выраженных целей делает жизнь в глазах нашего материального эго бессмысленной, что может привести индивида к депрессии и деградации. Неверно выбранная цель поведет человека и общество по неправильному пути развития, подобных примеров индивидуального и общественного развития великое множество. Для человека – это не сложившаяся жизнь, для организации – это несостоятельность, для государства – его увядание и распад.
Как осознать свои жизненные цели и отличить истинные цели от ложных, не соответствующих своей миссии? Как правильно связать свою миссию со своими жизненными целями?
Жизненные цели по своей природе могут как соответствовать миссии человека, так и быть прямо противоположными целям его души. Человек играет в своей жизни многочисленные земные роли, надевает на себя огромное количество масок. Выбранная жизненная цель может направить деятельность человека по ложному пути, и чем активнее будет эта его деятельность, тем дальше он уйдет от своей истиной цели. С каждым неправильным выбором истинная цель будет постепенно отдаляться и заменяться ложной. Достигая этой цели, человек будет получать не то, что ему нужно. Будет появляться новая цель, и человек будет устремляться к ней с новыми надеждами, и так может продолжаться всю жизнь.
Тогда человек будет находиться на ложном пути развития, потому что он растет и развивается, только выполняя свою миссию. Чтобы найти свой истинный путь, ему необходимо прислушиваться не к социуму, а к велениям души – до полного с ней слияния.
«Ищите и потеряете, не ищите и найдете», — так характеризует жизненный путь человека христианство. Поиск личных целей, без соотнесения их со своей миссией, приводит только к потерям.
Каждая личность свободна в выборе и принятии любой жизненной программы, но в конечном итоге, через бесконечную борьбу, она должна прийти к главному для себя пониманию: без служения своей душе и полной отдачи себя духу, её жизнь конечна и бессмысленна. Тогда все её социальные роли и цели, как иллюзия, пропадают, и она устремляется прямым путем к своей душе. Главной целью и смыслом жизни человека становится служение душе и духу, а значит и всему человечеству. Человека, который познал свою личность и свою душу, называют духовным человеком.
Задача души – наделять человека и общество людей духовными качествами, что она постепенно и реализует, обучая человека сотрудничеству. Душа – это инструмент всеобщего сознания для реализации своего постоянного развития, а личность – это инструмент души для реализации смысла её временного земного воплощения.
Когда социальные цели – желания личности – совпадают с миссией души, то последняя участвует в их реализации, наделяя человека силой. В противном случае индивиду приходится полагаться только на силы своей личности и силы близких и соратников.
В случае же совпадения социальных целей с потребностями души создается единая энергия, которая позволяет человеку максимально реализовать свой потенциал и приобретать душевно-духовные качества, взращивая духовную личность, которая облагораживает все общество, что в конечном итоге приводит это общество к процветанию.
С осознанием и реализацией своих истинных целей человек чувствует себя наиболее гармонично и уверенно. При заблуждениях и уходе в сторону наступает внешний и внутренний дискомфорт, болезни и страдания. Это может стать показателем того, верно ли человек выбрал свой путь.
Именно в буднях, среди обыденной работы, человек осуществляет свою миссию. Миссия служит основой для истинно целенаправленной деятельности личности в обществе. Человек, осознанно выполняющий миссию, выполняет волю своей души, и этим он вносит свою толику в развитие общего мироустройства.
Идеи, исходящие от души человека, которая является нашим учителем, и правильно воспринятые личностью, всегда носят созидательно-творческий характер, и если наше материальное эго в своей целенаправленной деятельности руководствуется именно этими идеями, то оно становится творцом, созидателем. Совместная деятельность таких творцов, объединенных в организации, многократно усиливает свой созидательный потенциал и является примером истинного сотрудничества. Именно такие люди-творцы способствуют развитию нации и общества в целом.
В этом смысле миссия организации должна способствовать тому, чтобы человек максимально реализовал свои качества человечности. Разрабатывая миссию организации, необходимо исходить как из миссии каждого входящего в эту систему человека, так и тех людей, которые прямо или косвенно связаны (или будут связаны) с этой организацией.
Правильно построенный образ миссии организации сплачивает и правильно структурирует коллектив людей, притягивает к себе своего человека и одновременно ограждает, оберегает организацию от случайного индивида. Такая миссия творит будущее, и чем она отчетливее сформулирована, тем меньше искажений при её материализации. Сила человеческой мысли как раз и заключается в том, что способна порождать реальные события.
Хорошо, когда руководящее ядро организации по своему культурному развитию на ступеньку выше основной массы людей и при этом тесно с ними взаимодействует. Тогда возможно сформулировать миссию организации, способствующую расширению сознания каждого входящего в ее структуру человека. Общие цели не должны разрушать индивидуальные цели, а даже наоборот, они должны укреплять друг друга.
При невозможности выполнения индивидом какой-либо части своей миссии, последний будет вынужден оставить коллектив, который не обеспечивает дальнейших условий для его развития. Если отток членов организации постоянен, то коллектив постепенно теряет свою жизнеспособность, что приводит его к самоуничтожению, так как персонал исчерпал все возможности для жизненного роста.
Миссия организации может и в идеале должна содержать идеи, направленные на достижение благосостояния всех и каждого, а не только на процветание учредителей или сотрудников. Миссия рабочего коллектива инициируется духом людей, его составляющих, недаром говорят – дух организации, но эта миссия зависит и от целей деятельности многих других организаций единого профиля (корпоративный дух), и, в конце концов, от миссии страны и всего человечества.
При этом надо полагать, что духовное руководство страной или нацией должно осуществляться не просто какой-либо религиозной организацией или социально-политической партией, но только теми людьми, которые достигли высокого уровня раскрытия сознания, которые осознают миссию каждого человека и миссию страны как единое целое. Безусловно, эти люди должны полностью осознавать свое предназначение, то есть свою миссию. Объединяя свои усилия в сотрудничестве со всеми без исключения людьми, они способствуют выполнению каждым человеком своей миссии, а значит и миссии своего народа.
Из вышесказанного понятно, что миссия и цели личности (организации, страны) должны быть тесно взаимосвязаны.
Ложная цель никак не способствует исполнению миссии и не может породить добрых дел, и поэтому цели личности или организации, не имеющей связи с миссией, не принесут ничего добродетельного, они бессмысленны и вредны и, более того, отбрасывают человека далеко назад в его эволюционном развитии.
Природа же человеческих добродетелей такова, что все они проистекают от любви и любовью соединяются. Поэтому именно цели, достигнутые естественным путем и связанные с миссией, возвышают человека. Такой человек в своей жизнедеятельности руководствуется велениями души, связанной с духом, он творит, создает себя и мир, служит людям.

The first time I came across the concept of “mission” in practice was quite a long time ago, about 25 years ago, when I worked at the Galaktika Corporation. The management at that time was young and creative and decided to formulate the mission of their organization. I was not a direct participant in the process, but I was partly immersed in understanding what would most fully and adequately reflect the place and role of our organization in this world. I admit, it was interesting to think about the wording, delving into the meaning of the received statement.
Until now, on the Internet you can find the formulation of this mission, which may have undergone some changes, but not significant:
We develop and supply the best management and information technologies for the dynamic development of business enterprises and the effective functioning of organizations, ensuring productive and comfortable work for their managers and employees
Every word in this phrase was discussed endlessly many times in order to finally understand whether this wording had the meaning that the company’s management would like to convey to the world.
At that moment, for the first time I thought about the mission of man. This question did not leave me indifferent in all subsequent years.
About 5 years ago, something again provoked an active discussion of the mission of man, and my relatives and I heatedly discussed this issue. My father did not understand why talk specifically about the mission, since in his understanding it is the same as the purpose of life. I intuitively felt that these were different concepts, but I could not clearly explain this and define the mission. At the same time, the topic did not let me go — sometimes I mentally returned to thinking about my mission on earth.
At that time, I formulated my mission as follows: “I bring goodness to the world.” But over time, I began to doubt the correctness of the image created by such a mission statement, and I wanted to find a more suitable edition. It turned out to be not so simple — it was necessary to understand this topic more deeply.
I studied the freely available materials about a person’s mission and formed my idea of what a mission is, how it differs from the purpose of life, what kind of missions there are, how collective missions are influenced by the missions of the members of these groups and the reverse influence they have on each other.
Mission is a spiritual essence, these are the qualities of humanity that a person must leave behind on earth; which a person needs to reveal in himself for the purpose of the evolution of the soul and universal consciousness.
In Christianity, these qualities are quite clearly defined and are called virtues, but they are also described in other spiritual literature. These virtues are familiar to all people to one degree or another, for example: gratitude, nobility, kindness, unselfishness, frugality, faith, politeness, fidelity, abstinence, benevolence, kindness, friendship, caring, love, mercy, wisdom, courage, caution, affability , simplicity, humility, cooperation, compassion, modesty, tact, patience, honesty, philanthropy and other best qualities of humanity. In most cases, these qualities of humanity are manifested in our world materially — in our deeds and actions.
Despite the fact that every person initially has his own unique mission, not everyone, when born, realizes it. For some, the mission may be large, for others it may be very small. It depends on what a person can do in his life. But the most important thing is that all missions are equally important, there is no more or less significant mission.
The opinion of John of Kronstadt is instructive in this context; he writes: “The Lord knows each of us before we were conceived in our mother’s womb and before we came out of our mother’s womb… We are determined by the Creator, each to his own place of service.” After all, the spirit makes the material on earth vital, infuses meaning into matter and assigns each essence its own unique part.
The meaning of human existence lies in setting and achieving certain goals in various activities in accordance with its mission.
A life goal is a conscious image of an anticipated result towards which human activity is aimed; This is the direction of putting effort into actions and deeds.
The lack of expressed goals makes life meaningless in the eyes of our material ego, which can lead an individual to depression and degradation. An incorrectly chosen goal will lead a person and society along the wrong path of development; there are a great many similar examples of individual and social development. For a person, this is an unfulfilled life; for an organization, this is failure; for a state, this is its withering and collapse.
How to realize your life goals and distinguish true goals from false ones that do not correspond to your mission? How to properly connect your mission with your life goals?
Life goals, by their nature, can either correspond to a person’s mission or be directly opposite to the goals of his soul. A person plays numerous earthly roles in his life and puts on a huge number of masks. The chosen life goal can direct a person’s activity along the wrong path, and the more active his activity is, the further he will move away from his true goal. With each wrong choice, the true goal will gradually move away and be replaced by a false one. In achieving this goal, a person will not receive what he needs. A new goal will appear, and a person will rush towards it with new hopes, and this can continue throughout his life.
Then a person will be on the wrong path of development, because he grows and develops only by fulfilling his mission. To find his true path, he needs to listen not to society, but to the dictates of the soul — until he completely merges with it.
“Seek and you will lose, do not seek and you will find,” this is how Christianity characterizes a person’s life path. Searching for personal goals, without relating them to your mission, only leads to losses.
Each person is free to choose and accept any life program, but ultimately, through endless struggle, she must come to the main understanding for herself: without serving her soul and completely surrendering herself to the spirit, her life is finite and meaningless. Then all her social roles and goals, like an illusion, disappear, and she rushes the direct path to her soul. The main goal and meaning of a person’s life becomes service to the soul and spirit, and therefore to all humanity. A person who has known his personality and his soul is called a spiritual man.
The task of the soul is to endow a person and society with spiritual qualities, which it gradually realizes by teaching a person to cooperate. The soul is an instrument of universal consciousness for realizing its constant development, and personality is an instrument of the soul for realizing the meaning of its temporary earthly incarnation.
When social goals — the desires of the individual — coincide with the mission of the soul, then the latter participates in their implementation, endowing the person with strength. Otherwise, the individual has to rely only on the strength of his own personality and the strength of loved ones and associates.
If social goals coincide with the needs of the soul, a single energy is created that allows a person to maximize his potential and acquire mental and spiritual qualities, cultivating a spiritual personality that ennobles the entire society, which ultimately leads this society to prosperity.
With the awareness and realization of his true goals, a person feels most harmonious and confident. When delusions and deviations occur, external and internal discomfort, illness and suffering occur. This can be an indicator of whether a person has chosen the right path.
It is in everyday life, among ordinary work, that a person fulfills his mission. The mission serves as the basis for truly purposeful activities of the individual in society. A person who consciously carries out a mission fulfills the will of his soul, and in this way he contributes his share to the development of the general world order.
Ideas emanating from the human soul, which is our teacher, and correctly perceived by the individual, always have a constructive and creative nature, and if our material ego in its purposeful activity is guided by precisely these ideas, then it becomes a creator. The joint activity of such creators, united in organizations, greatly enhances their creative potential and is an example of true cooperation. It is such creative people who contribute to the development of the nation and society as a whole.
In this sense, the mission of the organization should help ensure that a person realizes his qualities of humanity to the maximum. When developing the mission of an organization, it is necessary to proceed both from the mission of each person included in this system, and from those people who are directly or indirectly connected (or will be connected) with this organization.
A correctly constructed image of the organization’s mission unites and correctly structures a team of people, attracts its own person and at the same time protects and protects the organization from a random individual. Such a mission creates the future, and the more clearly it is formulated, the less distortion there is during its materialization. The power of human thought lies precisely in the fact that it is capable of generating real events.
It’s good when the leadership core of an organization, in terms of its cultural development, is a step above the bulk of people and at the same time interacts closely with them. Then it is possible to formulate the mission of the organization, contributing to the expansion of the consciousness of each person included in its structure. Common goals should not destroy individual goals, but on the contrary, they should strengthen each other.
If it is impossible for an individual to fulfill any part of his mission, the latter will be forced to leave the team, which does not provide further conditions for his development. If the outflow of organization members is constant, then the team gradually loses its viability, which leads it to self-destruction, since the staff has exhausted all opportunities for growth in life.
An organization’s mission can and ideally should contain ideas aimed at achieving the well-being of everyone, and not just the prosperity of the founders or employees. The mission of the work team is initiated by the spirit of the people who make it up; it is not without reason that they say — the spirit of the organization, but this mission also depends on the goals of the activities of many other organizations of the same profile (corporate spirit), and, in the end, on the mission of the country and all humanity.
At the same time, it must be assumed that the spiritual leadership of a country or nation should be carried out not just by any religious organization or socio-political party, but only by those people who have reached a high level of disclosure of consciousness, who are aware of the mission of each person and the mission of the country as a whole. Of course, these people must be fully aware of their purpose, that is, their mission. By combining their efforts in cooperation with all people without exception, they contribute to the fulfillment of each person’s mission, and therefore the mission of their people.
From the above it is clear that the mission and goals of an individual (organization, country) must be closely interconnected.
A false goal does not contribute in any way to the fulfillment of the mission and cannot generate good deeds, and therefore the goals of an individual or organization that has no connection with the mission will not bring anything virtuous, they are meaningless and harmful and, moreover, throw a person far back in his evolutionary development.
The nature of human virtues is such that they all stem from love and are united by love. Therefore, it is the goals achieved naturally and related to the mission that elevate a person. Such a person in his life is guided by the dictates of the soul connected with the spirit; he creates himself and the world, and serves people.
